The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed all Point of Sale terminals in the country to be geo-tagged within 60 days to curb fraud and improve oversight of the digital payments sector. This move requires licensed operators like Moniepoint, OPay, PalmPay, and commercial banks to register each terminal with exact GPS coordinates.
