Hilda Baci plans to cook largest pot of jollof rice on Sept 12.

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, is planning to cook the largest pot of jollof rice on September 12, 2025. The event will take place at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos, and features a massive six-meter-wide and six-meter-tall pot. This project is in collaboration with seasoning brand Gino and aims to break a Guinness World Record.

The event is not just about cooking; it’s a celebration of Nigerian food, culture, music, and community. Hilda Baci describes jollof rice as “the heartbeat of West Africa” and sees this event as a way to promote Nigerian cuisine globally. This project has been in the works for two years, and she’s excited to make history again.

Hilda Baci gained international recognition after setting a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual in 2023. She’s now looking to make her mark again with this record-breaking jollof rice dish.
